TE AWAMUTU’S CHALLENGE ' SHIELD TEAM.

The Te Awam'Utu Cribbage Club’s team to meet Puahue this evening, in Te Awamutu, in connection with the Clark and McMillan challenge shield, which is competed for by various district club teams, is as follows: F. Hinton and T. Hartley, T. Hinton and E. Webber, L. Marsh and R. Pellow, R. Hinton and M. J. Wheatley, A. D. Sing and 'C. Reid, K. Hinton and W. Paul, J. McMillan and E. Paul. J. Teddy and R. Clarke.

La!st Wednesday evening the local club’s fortnightly tournament was not well attended, owing chiefly to the bad, weather prevailing; but an interesting single-handed contest was played, with a main of twelve games. The best card returned was that of J. McMillan, with nine wins, while R. Pellow and K. Hinton tied for second honours with eight wins each.
