Owing to the extra large yarding the demand was weaker and prices were fully 15s.per head lower than last week. Extra prime bullocks made £ll 10s to £l3 ss, extra choice young cows and heifers up to £9 3s, ordinary quality cows and heifers £5 to £6 15s, inferior cows and heifers £3 to £4 17s. runners up to £3 14s, medium £2 12s 6d to £2 7s, forward 4 and 5 year old Hereford bullocks £8 9s, store 4 year old bullocks £6 10s to £7 4s, store cows 30s to £2 15s, store empty heifers £2 14s to £3, yearling heifers 20s to 35s according to quality. Dairy cows sold at late rates. There was a large yarding of sheep, but not many'fats. The demand for both fat.and store sheep was good and practically the whole yarding was sold. Store wethers were in keen demand. Prime ewes made 24s to 24s 3d. fat wethers 27s 6d to 27s 4d, 151 2, 4 and 6 tooth wethers 23s 2d, 200 2 and 4 tooth wethers 21s lOd, 220 2 and 4 tooth wethers 21s 9d, 60 full mouth ewes in lamb to Romney rams \ 18s, 200 full mouth ewes in lamb to Southdown rams 21s 9d, 150 full mouth ewes in lamb to Romney rams 14s, cull store ewes 12s.
