'CAPTAIN BJCOJERATEp. (Bv Telegraph. Press Association.) AUCKLAND, This Day. The Marine Court of Inquiry into the wreck of the Manaia found) 'that the ship went on Slipper Island owing to a strong set inshore. The master. Captain Norbury, was held to he blameless and complimented for his handling of the ship after the mishap. The Court expressed sympathy with hint, hut held that although 1 the third officer could not be blamed for the wreck he was over-confident in not calling the master earlier when he had not sighted the Slipper. Both certificates were returned.
