STORMY WEATHER
(By Telegraph. Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Sunday. During the past 24 hours a southerly gale has been raging and to-day has been bitterly cold, with 1 occasional gleams of watery sunshine and many showers of hail. The ferry steamer had a rough passage, not arriving until 10.15 a.m., while the Tees, which left on Saturday afternoon for Pitt Island,. put back and anchored. The Waipahi, bound from Wellington to Dunuedin, also put in ithis morning.
