Mr ROLLESTON'S CANDIDATURE.
(Contributed.) If it were possible the reception in the Ohura district has so far been more enthusiastic than! on the coast. At Matiere on Wednesday evening there was a large attendance. The chairman (Mr McAvady) introducing the speaker, gave an account of some of the things in the neighbourhood which the candidate had accomplished tor the general good in the last three years. The meeting on Thursday mid-day at Nilii Niho was also extremely enthusiastic. The following resolution was oarried unanimously: “That this meeting of electors at Nihi Niho tenders its thanks to Mr Rolleston for his interesting and instructive address to-day, and that he can he assured that grateful thanks to him for his past services as our representative in Parliament shall be recorded, together with continued confidence in the Re(form Government.” In the evening about 150 electors attended the meeting at Ohura. Mr Denison presided, and Mr Rolleston again had an attentive and sympathetic hearing.
