ELECTION ADDRESSES

MR LYE’S CAMPAIGN. At Roto-o-rangi last night over 40 electors attended to hear Mr F. Lye, M.P. Mr W. Murdoch presided and the candidate spoke on the lines already reported. During his address he referred to a rumour recently circulated in the electorate that he was allied in some way with the Red Fed element in politics, and he gave this an emphatic denial. He stated definitely that while recognising the fact that there are some able men on the Labour benches he bad no time for their policy and he would therefore vote for Reform or other similar party in .power and against a no-confidence motion brought by extreme Labour. At the- close of* a most interesting address the candidate received a most enthusiastic vote of thanks and confidence on the proposal of Mr J. Dickinson, seconded by Mr S. Wallis.
