ATTEMPT TO BURN SCHOOL

YOUNG TEACHER ARRESTED. (By Telegraph. Press Association.) A young school teacher, Leonard Arthur Hockley Fielder, was charged with wilfully setting fire to the Terrace school. A remand of one week was granted, bail being allowed. Counsel for accused said there was an answer to the charge. He also asked for suppression of the name, but the magistrate pointed out that such a course would bring others under suspicion, as there were other teachers at the school.
