On being interviewed at the Winter Show the Minister for Lands', ■. Hon. A. D.'McLeod said work in'connection With the revaluation of soldier farms was just about completed. The total reduction's authorised by the Dominion Board approximated £2,300,000 while arrears in interest andrent and principal instalments amounting to. a considerable sum had been postponed for varying terms, from five to seven years and iri some cases, to the end of the. term of the loan.. In a number of extreme cases, the rent and interest had been remitted. Much remained: to be done in re-grouping the soldier' sections. The matter was receiving attention as opportunity offered. The' deflation of values was also receiving attention.
