MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE METT.

REDRAW IN THIRD GRADE COMPETITION.

The management committee of the Waipa Rugby Union met last night when the following were present:— Messrs F. Quin (chairman), G. W. Mairs, G. Hogan, G. S. Clarke, H. Dwen, G. Melrose, G. Reynolds, G. M. Blair, Rev. H. White and E. T. Crump (secretary). An apology for absence was received from Mr A. A. Reese.

An application for a share of the grant for country schools was received from Tokanui School Committee. — Decided to grant 10s. Mr Quin reported that he would be unable to attend the meeting of the Waikato Rugby Union next Friday evening. It was decided to appoint Mr Crump to represent the Union.

It was decided to replay the PuahuePirongia Third Grade match, which was won by Puahue on May 2nd, as the Puahue player protested against exceeded the weight limit. . A discussion ensued as to the weight of Third Grade players and it was eventually resolved that all players must not exceed lOst. stripped at his first game of the season, and not to exceed lOst. 71b. thereafter.

The application of the Ohaupo Club to enter a team in the Third Grade competition was acceded to. Rovers Club applied for the regrading to Junior of G. Black, C. Olds and T. Hall.—All agreed to. T. Fergusson was granted a transfer from Rovers to Ohaupo Club provided he is financial on the former's books.

The referee of the Pirongia-Pukea-tua Senior match last Saturday reported having ordered D. Smith (Pirongia) and Erskine (Pukeatua) off the field for unnecessarily rough play. —As neither player was present at the meeting it was decided to defer the matter till next meeting when both the players mentioned must appear in person or write stating their case. •

Messrs Melrose and C*rump were appointed to act with the Referees' Association re the appointment of referees.

Owing to the replaying of two of the Third Grade matches and the entry of the Ohaupo team it was necessary to redraw the fixtures for this competition. Games played last Saturday count in the draw, when Ohaupo had the bye:— May 16th. Pirongia v. Puahue, at Te Awamutu. Ohaupo v. High School, at Ohaupo. Methodist a bye. May 23rd. Methodist v. Pirongia, at Te Awamutu. Ohaupo v. Puahue, at Te.Awamutu. High School a bye. May 30th. Ohaupo v. Methodist, at Ohaupo. High School v. Puahue, at Te Awamutu. Pirongia a bye. June 6th. Ohaupo v. Pirongia. at Pirongia. Methodist v. High School, at Te Awamutu. Puahue a bye.
