RABBIT BOARD
A meeting of the Kawa V/est Rabbit Board was held at the Drainage Board office, Te Kawa, on Tuesday last, when there were present Messrs Broadbent (chairman), Coverdale, Hopping and Ashton. The rabbiter’s report was placed before the metineg, and received. A letter from Mr Prendergast asking that the rabbiter be instructed not to go on his property for a while was placed before the meeting, and after consideration it was decided that the Board cannot allow further time than that given by the rabbiter. The secretary reported having circularised the ratepayers re the policy of the Board. Mr Wallis attended and explained that he was wire netting the southern boundary of the Board’s area and asked that the value of his rates be donated towards the cost of the netting. It was proposed to assist Mr Wallis to net the sounthern boundary of the Board’s area extending along the southern boundary of his farm. The secretary reported having israte demands for the second instalment. —Approved. The following accounts were passed for payment: D. CkuihksMank (wages to 215/25) £lB, c/'lpßMit and Sons £3 Is 3d.
