'HAMILTON STOCK SALE. The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Co. report having held their first sale of the New Year in the Frankton yards on January 6th, where they had a fair entry of beef (principally cow beef) and fat pigs and a small yarding of sheep and store cattle. Beef and fat pigs were firmer than the previous market reports, while sheep were firm at late rates. Beef medium fat steers £ll 4s to £ll 15s, light £lO 4s, prime fat cows and heifers £8 to £8 lis, fat cows £6 10s to £7 17s 6d, medium to light £5 5s to £6 ss, forward conditioned cows £4 10s to £4 17s 6d, good framed young store cows £2 15s to £3 lis, 18 month Jer-sey-Shorthorn cross heifers £2 17s 6d, 15 month Jersey cross heifers £2 2s, small yearling steers £2 lis, same aged heifers small 255. Sheep: Fat wethers 395, medium fat ewes 27s 3d to 30s 6d, fat lambs woolly 30s to 32s 6d. Pigs: Heavy baconers £3 5s to £3 10s, medium £3 to £3 3s, good porkers and light baconers £2 14s to £3, medium porkers £2 8s to £2 12s 6d, light £2 ss, unfinished 35s to £2 2s, slips 30s to 345, best weaners 21s to 265, small 13s to 19s.
