A statue of Lord Lister has been unveiled at Glasgow, which has always been 'proud of his connection with the commercial capital .of Scotland. It was at the R-oyal Infirmary there that he began the practice of his antiseptic method which revolutionised modern surgery. At that time the University, where he occupied the chair of surgery, was in the historic High Street. It has since migrated to its palatial home on Gilmore Hill, overlooking the West End Park. In this beautiful park the statue of Lister has been fittingly erected near that of Kelvin. ,
