STOKERS REINSTATED.

GAS COMPANY'S TROUBLES

GISBORNE, This Day.

A conference took place this morning over the gas company trouble. It was decided to reinstate the men who went out, the dispute having been satisfactorily settled. Yesterday's telegram stated that two stokers having been dismissed the others walked out. The dismissals followed upon the removal of bars placed across a back entrance which was not Considered to be a safe means of exit, the men having to leap across a concrete stairway.
