JUSTICES OF THE PEACE.

TO SIT WITH MAGISTRATE. (By Telegraph. Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Wednesday. With the approval of Mr J. W. Poynton, S.M., it has been arranged that in future on Wednesday of each week there will be associated with the presiding Magistrate at the Police Court two Justices of the Peace. This arrangement has been made because it is thought that in the past sufficient opportunity has not been afforded justices to secure experience in Court matters, and the new arrangement made and approved of by Mr Poynton should have a beneficial effect. A list of available justices has been compiled and they will take turns in sitting on the bench each week.
