KAWAKAWA ELECTION.

KAWAKAWA, Wednesday,
To fill the vacancy on the Kawakawa Town Board a by-election was held yesterday and aroused much interest,' practically 80 per cent, of all able to vote polling. Mr T. Brown secured a majority of nine votes over Mr H. Cookson. At a subsequent meeting of the Board last evening, Mr C. H. Puttick was elected chairman.
