SECOND DAY AT HAMILTON. The second day of the Hamilton •Racing Clubte annual meeting was held yesterday in perfect weather and with a large attendance. The course was on the heavy side as a result of the rain during the week end, but nevertheless some very interesting racing was witnessed, especially in the Waikato Handicap, when four horses dashed past the post almost in a line. The totalisator handled the sum of £34,500. Results:— Franklin Handicap: Barometer 1, Finnote 2, Highflown 3. Won by threequarters of a length. Time, 1.31 3-1. Matangi Hurdles: Prince Rufus 1, King Abbey and Athens XL (dead heat) 2. Won by a head. Time, 3.30. Ruakura Stakes: Quinnette 1, Abbey Bell 2, Lady Rewa 3. Won by two lengths. Time, 1.4. Waikato Handicap: Glencairn 1, Stork 2, Tlnohoro 3. Heads separated the first four horses. Time, 2.12 3-5. Taupiri Hack: Tinopono 1, Farndon 2, Smoke 3. Won easily. Time, 1.31. Glarkin Steeplechase: Waikawa 1, Paraoa 2, Luperino 3. Won easily. Time, 6.12. Kirikiriroa Handicap: Bitholia 1, Hipo 2, King Quin 3. Won by a head. Time, 1.16 3-5. Tauwhare Hack: Irene Bruce 1, Arch Opal 2, Smoke 3. Won by a length. Time, 1.44 1-5.
