FARM MANAGER’S THEFTS.
MISAPPROPRIATION OF FUNDS. ADMISSION OF GUILT. (By Telegraph. Press Association.) TE KUITI, This Day. • In the Magistrate’s Court yesterday William Farrelly, farm manager, pleaded guilty on a charge of converting to his own use money totalling £522 10s sd, the property of Messrs Mair and Co., whose farm he was managing. He was remanded for sentence at the Supreme Court at Auckland.
Accused was to have, appeared in February, 1921, but while out on bail he absconded to the Argentine, his bail (£200) being estreated. On returning to the Dominion recently he surrendered to the police and made a confession admitting all charges.
