WAIHI FIRE BRIGADE.
TROUBLE OVER TELEPHONES. (Bi Telegraph. Press Association.) WAIHI, Monday. The superintendent of the Waihi Fire Brigade informed the chairman (Mr Wallnutt) yesterday that the brigade had disbanded as from Saturday evening last, and that he, as superintendent, w/ould not continue to hold office. This decision is pursuant to the terms of a resolution passed some weeks ago and confirmed at a meeting of the brigade last Thursday, to the effect that if telephones were not installed as formerly thle brigade would resign 'in a body.
