Wells, member, and Mi D. W. Dim hop advisory inspector to report at lte next meeting on Wednesday, Novem er 7th. Messrs Wells and Dunto; will visit the districts on Wednesday next. 24th Inst, leaving Oto?ohanga about 8.30 a.m. Be good enough to arrange for all parents to meet them at each centre. Constable Fry. who has been stationed at Tokaanu for some years, is to succeed Constable Armstrong at Otorohanga. the latter having been transferred to Wellington. Constable Doyle, of Te Awamutu, was busily engaged in Otorohanga on Wednesday tracing several head ot cattle in which the men Ludwig and McGilvray 'are said to have been interested. The stock were taken to le Awamutu by the police. \ consignment of about 50,000 trout frv was received here during the week and liberated in the Waipa and Maharoa rivers. Owing to the waters being muddy not many catches have been made this season so tar, but there is evidence of plenty of fish in the different streams. One angler last, week secured a basket of seven fine fish and now the weather has mended and the streams are clear good sport is looked forward to.
