BIG TENNIS SCHEME.

CLUSTER OF SEVENTY-FIVE COURTS. (Bv Telegraph. Press Association.) WELLINGTON. Friday. From a statement made by a deputation to the City Council it appears that a project is on foot to construct 75 tennis courts at Miramar at a cost of £20.000. Estimates and plans are already prepared. The site is part of the park at present little used and often under water. It is proposed to finance the scheme by a system of life membership, with the right to nominate three playing members who would pay no subscription.
