A WOMAN INVENTOR.
It has often been said thai women have not the "inventor's" mind, yet daily the number of women who invent useful household implements or labour-saving devices grows apace. In the ofliees of the International Institute of Inventors in Sackville St. are housed many ingenious little and big things which are the outcome of woman's thought and brain, points out the Pa'U Mall Gazette. Here, for instance, are some square saucepans. There have been square kettles, baking tins, but never square saucepans before. These will soon be on the market in their thousands, and are sure to oust the round variety. In lour square saucepans over one gas jet a dinner can be comfortably cooked with a minimum of expenditure. One side there is a handle, but either of the other three sides act as a lip from which to pour. A great advance on the lipless round sort. The inventor is Mrs Holt, of Bolton, a little Lancashire woman, with an inventive brain and a businesslike one. too. for the authorities at the institute prophecy that she wi'll make a goodly fortune with her square saucepans.
