ARREST AT METHVEN.
A H£L£NSYILL£ CASE. ACCUSED TO APPEAR AT AUCKLAND. (By Telegraph. Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Friday, A Press Association telegram from Ashburton states that John Henry n Labrum, who has been wanted on.,*? charge of assault and robbery, was arrested at Methven on Wednesday and brought to Ashburton. He left for Auckland last night. A man named Wilkes is also alleged to have been concerned in the affair, and he appeared at the Police Court about a week ago. Labram made good his escape when he knew he was wanted on this charge. It is alleged that he and Wilkes assaulted and robbed an old man at Wainui, near Helepsville. Wilkes is on remand.
