“BEST WISHES.” WILFORD TO WARD. (By Telegraph.— Press Association.) TE AROHA, Wednesday. An interesting letter from Mr T." M, Wiltord, the Liberal leader, was received to-day by Mr Wm. Noton, secretary of the Liberal-Labour Federation, who is accompanying Sir Joseph Ward during his election campaign. Mr Wilford says: “You can understand with what interest I am watching the Tauranga election It is of such moment to us that the 1400 minority should be turned into a majority for Liberalism. I am glad to hear Sir Joseph is fit and well, and I certainly hope the election will sti engthen him physically and bring him back to his old state of health. Personally 1 was sorry the committees decided not to accept the help of Mess is Veitch, .Masters and myself. I should have been delighted to speak on behalf of Sir Joseph Ward, and to tell the people of Tauranga. from inside knowledge, what a help he would he to the Liberal party, and, in fact, to the country, were he returned ns a member of Parliament.’’
