PROSPECTS OF INDUSTRY

TE AROHA, Wednesday
Mr G. Stewart presided at a meeting of Glaxo. Factory suppliers. Mr Sinclair, for the N.Z. Co-operative Dairy Company, Ltd., stated that glaxo payments for the season would be a shade over Is 6d per lb butterfat for the glaxo season. Mr Hi. E. Pacey, representing the Glaxo Manufacturing Company, stated the factory would commence making casein from September next, as the outlook for the manufacture and' sale of glaxo was not so favourable as a year ago. Glaxo suppliers would be paid slightly more than the prices advanced for butter by the N.Z. Dairy Company. Messrs G. Stewart, H. Herbert and D. Barstow were appointed members of the suppliers' committee for the ensuing year.
