WORKERS FINED FOR PARTICI- . PATION. (By Telegraph. Press Association.) BALCLUTH'A, This Day. At Balclutha, the Inspector of Awards, Dunedin, proceeded against ten members of the Balclutha branch of the Freezing Workers' Union for participating in an illegal- strike. Thomas A. Rodgers, former secretary of the union, was fined £lO, which is the maximum , and nine others £5 each. HASTINGS, This Day. For being parties to a strike the employees of four local freezingworks were each fined £3.
