CLEARING SALE AT WAIHOU
The Farmers’ Co-op. Auctioneering 00. Ltd., Hamilton. report as follow: At Waihou on the ll'th. inst. we held a cleaTing sale on account of Mr. G. V. Were which proved to be one of the most successful conducted this year. The herd of 41 cows'averaged £l6, individual values ranging from £lB to £2B 10s, for Jersey cows; £lO to £lB 10s for Jersey cross. Heifers realised from .£ll to £l7. The pedigree Jersey hull “Defender of Meaclowvale” sold under,, strong competition and fell at 105 gns. Pedigree cows sold as followsi: “Pella Maid s Daisy’’ 40gns.; “Baoris Maid” 20 gns.; “Paoris Maid’s Tulip” 211 gns.; The •heifer “Faith” 76 gns.: Three yearling heifers averaged 22 gns.
