WEDDING.
KAY—MONTEFIORE,
A very pretty wedding was solemnised at St. John's Church, Te Awamutu, on the 21st insit.,. when Lyell Runciman, sixth son of Mr Andrew Ray, of Parawera, and Katherine Gertrude, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs Monteflcre, of Hairini. were unite;! in the holy bonds of matrimony. The service, which was fully choral, was performed by the Rev. A. M. Niblock, and the church was tastefully decorated for the occasion by friendsi of the bride.
The bride, who was given away by her father, was prettily attired in a gown of ivory silk, exquisitely handembroirleied, and relieved with touches of georgette and pearls. She carried a beautiful shower bouquet of clematis, lilies and maidenhair fern, and wore the orthodox veil and orange blossoms. The bridesmaid, Miss Eileen Montefiore, sister of the bride, wore a dainty frock of pale pink crepe de chine and georgette, with hat to match, and carried a charming bouquet of pink roses, sweet peas, and asparagus fern. Mr Dick Kay, brother of the bridegroom, acted a 3 best man.
The bride's mother was attired in black spun silk, relieved with white, and carried a beautiful bouquet of mauve asters and maidenhair fern.
After the ceremony the bride's parents entertained a few friends and near relatives! at their residence, where the usual toasts were duly honoured. The happy couple were the recipients of many valuable and useful presents. They left by motor car for Hamilton, en route to Rotorua, the bride travelling in a peacock green tailor-made costume, with smart hat and veil to match.
