NOTICE is hereby given that the Waipa County Council proposes to raise a special loan under the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913. The purpose for which the loan* is required is to metal roads in the Mangapiko Riding of the Waipa County for the first time. The sum proposed to be borrowed is six thousand pounds. The proposed security is a special rate of one-sixth of a penny in the pound on the ratable value of all ratable property in the Mangapiko Riding of the Waipa County. The 'loan is to be for a period of 36| years, with interest at 4£ per cent, repayable by half-yearly instalments under the provisions of Part 111. of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913. It is proposed to pay out of the loan the cost of raising the loan and the interest and sinking fund for the first year. Dated at Te Awamutu this 18th day of October. 1921.
