(By Telegraph.—Press Association.)
WELLINGTON, This Day,
The question of freight rates on butter and chese was discussed yesterday at a conference of representatives of the dairy factories and associations of the Dominion, and representatives of export houses and shipping interests. No report of the proceedings was furnished td the press. It is understood, however, that it is not likely there will be any reduction in freight.rates at the present time, but that the whole position will be reviewed next January.
