FARMERS' INSTITUTE.

HOPEFUL OUTLOOK. MEETING OF DIRECTORS. A meeting of directors of the Te Awamutu Farmers' Institute was held at the Institute in Alexandra Street yesterday and attended by Messrs, F. Quin, A. H. Storey, B. H. Budden,.H, Mandeno, A. C. Cruickshank, G. R. McGhie, S..C. Macky (chairman), and J. G. Wynyard (secretary). A special committee recommended the terms of arrangement with the secretary which after considerable discussion were adopted without amendment A good writing room is available for the members' use, and a amall charge was fixed for its use for meetings. There is also a ladies' room, a general tea-room, and paddocking for members' horses.

It was decided at the suggestion of the manageress, to - raise the standard and increase the variety of the meals provided, and reference was made to the great satisfaction Mrs Wiltshire had given to her clients.
