HEALTH FOR ALL A NEW SCIENCE. RATIONAL TREATMENT OF DISEASE. ' Within the last twenty years there has grown up in the minds of a large number of people a growing distrust of drugs, surgery, and other heroic disease. Coincident with this distrust, there has developed an increasing faith in the possibility of securing and retaining health through right living—that is, through obedience of Nature’s laws. The trouble with popular medical theories in the past has been that they fixed on the idea of disease and not on health. It has been the rule to try to overcome a disease by treating the disease itself —overlooking the fact that disease is a symptom, the result of long continuance of functional disorders. Ninety-nine per cent, of sick people are suffering from functional disorders. They are “opt of sorts;” their physical machinery is not running smoothly, being blocked with waste matter. Under these circumstances, it is useless to expect drugs to give permanent benefits. The new science says “Remove the cause and the disease disappears.” An eminent authority, Dr. Albert Searle Wayne, has ,by his teachings, placed himself in the forefront of the I new science of health. His achieve- ■ ments in the overcoming of disease by natural and rational methods have proved a blessing to thousands qf people. Dr. Wayne, in his publications, shows that practically all diseases are caused by “Autoxima,” which means self-poisoning or poisoning by compounds produced internally by oneself. This poisoning is due to the accumulation and fermentation of waste matter in the system. Throughout the ages countless drugs, herbs, and conjectural treatments have been employed in a fruitless endeavour to overcome disease; but until to-day no theory has been advanced to combat the condition of autoxima itself. It must be obvious to all thinking people that if autoxima is Eliminated, disease —which is merely the effect of this condition — must disappear. Dr. Wayne, therefore, set himself to produce a preparation that would get rid of Autoxima, and maintain the internal cleanliness that is necessary for health. His aim was successful; he devised Coloseptic, which has been proved of remarkable benefit to people all over the world. Coloseptic is a wholesome powder with a saline taste, due to itg constituent neutral salts. It can be freely taken by young and old —the sick and the well. Coloseptic should not be regarded as a substitute for any medium. It has a value that is unique. Coloseptic stimulates Nature to remove ali waste —to keep the body clean within —to make a good health possible and easy for all. * For this reason, Coloseptic will be found of prompt and sure benefit in all cases of billiousness, headaches, lassitude, depression, constipation, insomnia, anoemia, eczema, piles, obesity, and scores of other complaints which are all due to autoxima. Having no kinship with drugs, Coloseptic is not habit-forming—‘the only habit it creates is the habit of health. Coloseptic will make and keep you .well. It puts the eliminative tract in prime condition —rejuvenates physical vigor and mental activity. It will make you realise the joy of life—will give you energy, strength, endurance, vitality, power! All these are the reward for health, which follows internal cleanliness, and that is the result of taking Coloseptic. Remember that name: it means health for you! All chemists dispense genuine Coloseptic in original packages containing 156 grams net weight, at 5/6 a package. Wholesale: All leading Drug Houses. OMNE SOLUM FORTI PATRIA (Every soil is a brave man’s country). Bishop Frodsham, Hon. G. W. Russell, and Champion are much perturbed about the Asiatic menace, which impels Champion to say a few words to his people on “ The Fallacy of Free Trade,” and in the meantime to continue fortifying: on Muscle-Raiser Flour, topped off with Standard Soother Oa'tmea «nd Rolled Oats, and all will be well. THE FALLACY OF FREE TRADE. MY DEAR PEOPLE,—I am credibly informed that some “ antediluvians” are advocating Free Trade, which would be feasible if it were universal. Why do they not advocate the removal of the Alien Poll Tax? If it were done it would permit of a much lower rate of wage being paid, and a lower standard of production; also we would have the cost of maintenance of those subjects instead of their sur-J plusages in goods, with the result that we would soon be brought! down to the Asiatic level. Japan. India, and China are makiag rapid! strides in manufacturing, and with cheap labour, augmented with * modern machinery, they will ultimately be a menace to the British artisan, who has fought for his country; but evidently this is of little moment to the “ antediluvians,” as they appear anxious for cheap labour and goods without considering its disastrous effects to the British workers. 1 quite believe if you were now to offer them made-in-Germany goods at a trifle less than those of British manufacture their patriotism would vanish like smoke. I have spoken with much feeling.—V., AUCKLAND.
