DRIED MILK FACTORY.

AFFAIRS WELL IN HAND.

QUESTION OF A SIDING.

TENDERS TO BE. CALLED Further information is to hand regarding the erection of the Zealandia Milk foods’ (Ltd.) dried milk factory, to be built in Te Awamutu. It is understood that negotiations with the Railway Department are proceeding. However, Mr A. G. Shirley has received instructions to proceed with the erection of the factory. The plane are all ready, and tenders will shortly be called. The matter of a siding is still proceeding, and it is anticipated (said Mr J. G. Wynyard yesterday) that a definite agreement will be arrived at with the authorities. The Railway Department states in this respect that shortage of money and labour has prevented the Department from so far carrying out its intended alterations at the Te Awamutu rail-, way station yard.
