DISTRICT NEWS.

The annual picnic of the Ohaupo Sunday School wos held on January 29 at Mr Best's farm, and was attended by a large number of children, parents and friends. A sports programme was gone through, and games were kept going all day. In the afternoon the children were assembled, and Mr McLauchlan, the superintendent, read the annual report. The attendance had been very good, there being 57 names on the roll, being an increase of 11 on last year. Rev. McKenzie was then called on to present the prizes. In doing so he thanked the teachers for the good work accomplished during the year. Special prizes were presented by Mesdames Arthur Graham, Pickett, and McLauchlan and Miss Chapman, and were won by ZoeTumwald, Bruce Sprowl, Eric Reynolds and Edna Young. A very happy clay was brought to a close at seven o'clock.
