Two or three months ago, two dangerous holes appeared in the bridge, and on Mr Worthington being notified of the matter, he at once authorised the Board to repair the bridge. The necessary timber was procured, when the Board received notice from Hamilton that they must not interfere with the bridge. On the Hamilton office being apprised of the dangerous state of the road they promised to confer with the head office at Auckland. Up to the present, no answer having been receiving from either Auckland or Hamilton, the clerk was instructed to write to the District Engineer at Auckland, explaining the position. With regard to the tenders that had been called for fencing and draining at the back of the hall only one tender, that of Mr Temple was received, and which was considered too high. The Board authorised the clerk to call fresh tenders for fencing and draining separately. For the forming and metalling of North Street, the tender of A. Jennings, 9s. for metal, and 7s. for gravel was accepted. Re road to Dr Henderson's property, the Clerk was authorised to call tenders for ploughing and harrowing four chains. H.
