The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., reports : We held our sales at Te Awamutu on Saturday and at Pirongia on Monday, when good entries came forward, and all stock was disposed of. Light fat steers £9 is to £lO, fat cows £7 2s 6d to £8 ss, others barely finished £6 10s to £6 17s. cows in fresh condition £4 I2s to £5 7s, one line of 70 20month to 2-year steers £5 ss, 12 to 15-month steers £3 5s to £3 12s, mixed yearlings £2 16s to £3 5 S > 18-month to 2-year empty heifers £3 ios to £3 18s, yearling heifers £2 14s to £3, dairy cows at profit £6 ios to £lO Iss, -springing heifers £6 15s to £9 7s 6d, others more backward £4 10s to £5 15 s * weaner pigs I2s to 18s, porkers £1 8s to £1 13s, slips £1 2s 6d to £1 4s, fat and forward ewes 18s 9d, ewes and lambs £l 2s. We held our annual hoggetfair and eattle sale at Ohaupo on 22nd utt., when we penned 1570 hoggets. The demand was not so keen as at the previous sale, and several lines were passed in. Best hoggets made 17s 3d,medium 16s 3d, fat hoggets £1 Is, fat ewes 19s 6d, 200 forward wethers £l 2s 6d. Cattle : A full yarding, most of which changed hands at auction or afterwards. Fat cows £6 15s to £B, cows in fresh condition £4 15s to £5 7s, store cows £3 10s to £4 Bs, 2-year empty heifers £4 to £4 ss, yearling and 15-month heifers £2 I2s 6d to £3 lOs for choice quality, 2-year steers £5, 18-month steers £4 2s, 12 to 15month steers £3 is to £3 17s for choice quality, grown bulls £6 2s 6d to £7 ss, dairy cows £6 10s to £7 15s, 3-year heifers at profit £7 to £8 2s 6d, others £5 15s to £6 I2s 6d.
