This needless expenditure could easily be saved if the present Board would agree to accept nomination, and the ratepayers agree not to nominate any other candidate on the understanding that in the event of the formation of the borough being delayed the members of the Board would resign. I think the Board members, in the interests of the public purse, would agree to this. —I am, etc., Ratepayer.
