OHAUPO SALE,
At Ohaupo, on Tuesday, nth instant, we had a medium yarding of cattle. Forward steers and cows were required, and dairy cows and heifers at profit sold at late rates, but young cattle were dull of sale. Prices: Three year old steers £7, two and a-half year old steers £5 14s, store cows £3 to £3 9s, yearling heifers £2 2s to £3 9s, bulls £5 15s to £6, three year old springing heifers £6 10s to £B, dairy cows £6 to £7 10s, cull cows £4 5s to £5 2s <>d. MATAMATA SALE. At Matamata, on Wednesday, we yarded 63 fat steers and cows and 477 stores and yearlings, 240 dairy cows and' heifers, also sheep and pigs. Nearly all grown cattle were disposed of, but yearlings were not wanted, and a good, number of springers were passed in, We quote : Fat cows £6 to £7 17s 6d, small fat steers £6 to £7 17s 6d, small fat steers £B, three-year old store steers £6 /13s, cows in forward condition £5 to £5 12s, store cows £3 6s to £3 13s, 18 months to two year old steers £3 10s to £4 3s, two yean old empty heifers £3 4s to mixed yearlings £2 to ewes 17s to £l, 16 Bd, weaner to 14s, slips £l, is, dairy cows at £6 5s to £ll, springingjjfrfffcrs £5 15s to £B. SALE. Affrlamilton, on Thursday, fat jsreers realised, £9 ss, fat heifers £6 lOs to £8 lOs, cows in forward " condition £5 to £5 ss, well-bred yearling steers up to £6 2s 6d, springing heifers £5 15s to £6 I2s 6d, fat wethers £1 Is 9d, store pigs £l 5s to £l lOs. TE KUITI SALE. ' At Te Kuiti, on Ihursday, a small yarding sold at the following rates: —Three-year old steers £7, two-year old steers £4 lOs, 18 months old steers £3 I2s, twoyear old heifers in calf £3 7s to £4 4s. TE AWAMUTU SALE. At Te Awamutu on Saturday last we had an entry of 386 fat and store cattle and 218 springers Although bidding was dull, we were able to dispose of fully twothirds of the stock. Prices:— Fat steers £8 lOs to £8 16s, lighten weights £7 lOs to £B, fat cows £6 lOs to £B, fresh to forward conditioned cows £4 to £4 17s, store cows £3 is to £3 14s, yearling steers £2 lOs to, £2 15s, mixed yearlings £2 Is 6d to £2 7s, dairy cows (whole herds) £7 to £lO, others £5 I2s 6d to £7 15s, springing heifers £6 to £7 15s, fat 2tooth wethers £l is, weaner pigs 13s to 16s, slips 19s to £l 4s, porkers £1 lOs to £l 16s.
CLEARING SALE,
At Mrs Grant's clearing sale at
Matahura on Monday, 10th inst, there was a large attendance and good competition throughout. The 50 dairy cows made from £6 5s to £lO ss, a few aged and unsound cows £4 to £5, yearling steers £2 13s, heifers £2 7s 6d, mixed calves and yearlings £2, farm gelding £2O lOs, 2-year-old colt bv Baron Rosen £l6; implements, furniture, etc., at usual rates.
