At a meeting of the directors of the Te Awamutu Terminating Building Society, held last evening, it was decided to have an appropriation by ballot on September 9th. Due notice will be given members. In connection with the Waikato hospital electric scheme carried on Thursday it was stated that the engineer could not be held to his original estimate under present war risks in connection with the calling for tenders. A suggestion was made that all the necessary materials might be obtained from America.
