TE AWAMUTU WATER SUPPLY.
TO BE OFFICIALLY OPENED ON AUGUST.. BTH
The Town Board, at its meeting on Friday last, fixed the date of the official opening of the Te Awamutu water supply for Saturday, August Bth, and put in train necessary, arrangements for a suitable public function'to mark
the event. A brief programme was referred to at the Board’s meeting, but the actual arrangement for the ceremony was delegated to a committee consisting of Messrs A. S. Wallace (chairman), Wm. Taylor and J. B. Teasdale. Invitations to attend on this occasion are being extended to representatives of local bodies from all parts of Waikato and King Country, and there is every indication that there will be a very large assemblage of visiting delegates on that day. The public are to be invited to attend the ceremony, which is one of considerable local importance, and doubtless the occasion will be marked by a very large attendance of residents from all Darts of the district.
