RANGIAOHIA ROAD BOARD.
The usual fortnightly meeting of the above Board was held in the Board's office on Saturday last. Present: Messrs D. Cavanagh (chairman), W. Long, F. Bowden, Storey, and the Board's engineer, Mr W. H. Mandeno. Minutes of previous meeting were read and confirmed. COMPENSATION CLAIM. It was stated that the matter with regard to the alleged wrongful taking of land for road purposes had been amicably settled with Mr Kay. CULVERT. The engineer stated that the necessary work to the culvert at Spraggs had been completed. —It was decided that the sum of £2 ■pQ paid for the work.
POTTS' DRAIN. The chairman said that the drain needed attention, and thought that if possible the drain should be widened and deepened. —lt was decided that the chairman and Mr Storey interview Mr Potts with a view to having the work done. NOXIOUS WEEDS. It was decided to draw the inspector's attention to the state of the frontage opposite Mr Madill's property. INVITATION. An invitation was extended to the chairman to attend the annual dinner of the Te Awamutu Chamber of Commerce. The invitation was accepted with thanks. MOSELEY'S ROAD. Mr Long reported that certain necessary work had been carried out on Moseley's road.—lt was decided to approve of the action of Mr Long in having the work done. ACCOUNTS. The following accounts were passed for payment:—Riley £ls, McCormack £3 3&> Waikato Argus £l 2s. RATE. The chairman gave notice to move that a similar rate as last year be struck for the ensuing one.
