PREMIER PICTURES
TO-NIGHT,
At the Town Hall to-night a good programme of pictures is promised. The star drama is entitled "The Plot of Indias Hillmen," which is stated to depict a series of thrilling scenes full of emotion. A picture of local interest is "Anniversary Day in Wellington." The supporting pictures are of a very good standard and include industrial, scenic and comic scenes. Picture patrons are reminded that the Premier Pictures will in future be shown only on Tuesday evenings each week.
CHURCH CONCERT.
On Friday evening next a grand Drawing Room concert, the proceeds of which will be devoted to St. John's Church renovation fund, takes place at the local Town Hall. The programme, which is issued to-day, promises to be of a most enjoyable and entertaining character. Many of the performers are well and worthily known to local audiences, and their appearance qji the stage on Friday evening will be welcomed. The other performers will doubtless soon win the thorough appreciation of the audience. A large attendance is looked for on Friday evening, and given fine weather the efforts of the promoters will be amply rewarded.
CONCERT AT PIRONGIA,
The Te Awamutu Minster Party, assisted by Miss Gott, of Auckland, gave a concert on Friday, 6th inst, at Pirongia. The programme was an excellent one and was much enjoyed by the audience, practically every item being encored. Unfortunately the audience, if appreciative, was for some reason or other very small.
