ENTERTAINMENTS.

TOWN BAND DANCE. There was only a fair attendance at the Town Hall on Wednesday evening, on the occasion of the second grand dance held by the Te Awamutu Town Band. All the arrangements in connection with the dance had been well carried out by the secretary, Mr A. C. Edwards, assisted by the committee, and those who attended spent an enjoyable evening. The floor was in capital order, and no fault could be found with the music supplied by Mr G. Dalton. Messrs W. H. Johns, C. Davis, and W. Douglas officiated as M.'sC, and were assiduous in their duties. A committee of ladies had charge of the supper arrangements, and needless to say they provided an excellent repast which was much appreciated. The dance was, despite the small attendance, a very enjoyable one for Everybody present. >

PREMIER PICTURE^ Good audiences stiU/continue to patronise the ejyfertainments given by the proprietors of the Premier The proon Tuesday was a well selected one, the drama "Vocation of Suzette" being much appreciated. A good supporting picture was the drama "The Stepbrothers". The series of pictures from both the Pathe Gazette and the N. Z. Gazette were of an interesting description. The amusing films caused a great deal of merriment. \

Despite the unfavourable weather a good many people attended at the Town Hall last night to witness the programme screened. The star film was "The House of Discord" and proved to be a drama full of sensational incidents. A drama full of pathos was entitled "Love of Beauty". An educational film which was of an interesting kind was "Wine Industry at Marsala". The other films were well received and com-

plated an excellent programme.

McLEAN'S BUCKJUMPERS

The above combination showed at Te Awamutu on Wednesday and Thursday evening, although their performances were not attended by an over-large number of residents. The show, however, did not lack that vigour which characterises its class of entertainment, and it was certainly deserving of much better support. Each performer was well up to a standard of efficiency that provided a night's amusement of interest and excitement to all.
