r About twenty-one householders attended the meeting on Monday night. Mr Kurth was elected chairman of the meeting. A vote of thanks was tendered to the outgoing committee, and also to the teaching staff. The- following committee was elected : Messrs Crook, Jemmett, Patterson, Ferguson, Roigard,. Ware, and Kurth. Mr F. Kurth was elected chairman, and Mr F. Ware honorary secretary. The new school is finished and is a decided improvement to the settlement.
