After the minutes had been confirmed and other routine business transacted, the discussion turned to the appointment of a secretary. It was unanimously resolved that Mr A. J. To a like end the chairman and Mr S. Clark were deputed to wait upon the Town Board, and a letter is to be addressed to the Chamber of Commerce.

It was resolved that the headmaster be requested to furnish a monthly report to the committee, so as to keep the members fully advised of all matters pertaining to the general conduct of the school and of its -surroundings. At the conclusion of the meeting the chairman submitted a letter he had received from Mr George George, director of technical education, with reference to the proposed establishment of a local technical school He asked if the committee desired to reply in any certain manner.

The meeting thanked the Rev. Mr Clarke for the information contained in the letter, and expressed appreciation of the' work he was doing to ensure the establishment of the school. The committee would not, however, make any formal communication until such time as the full amount (£250) was assured, when definite application could be made.
