KAIPAKI. (Own Correspondent.)

A good crowd gathered at the Kaipaki hall on Wednesday

evening last, to welcome the

Hamilton Quartette Party, who gave a first-class vocal and instrumental concert, the following programme being rendered : Selection, Miss A. Turner piano, and Mr. A. K. Wrigley, flute; Quartette, the company; encore duet, Messrs Wrigley and A. Joll ; \ song and chorus, Miss A. Turner and company, (encored); flute solo Mr A. K. Wrigley; humorous recital Mr J. Harrison, encore ; song Mr Wrigley ; quartette, the company, encore; song Miss R. E. Williams; duet, Miss Turner and Mr Joll; flute solo Mr Wrigley ; humorous recital, Mr Harrison, encore; quartette the company. Special mention must be made of the solo “Eileen Alanah” which was rendered by Miss A. Turner, and the unaccompanied “ Sweet and Low.” Mr J. Harrison was a great favourite with the audience, and secured unanimous encores each time. At the close of the concert a tasty supper was handed round; the floor was then cleared for dancing which was kept up merrily until about 3 a.m.; the dance music was supplied by Misses Bell and McKinnon, Mesdames Cooper and Gane, and Messrs ,de Lucca and Wagner. Mr Levi Cowley acted a M.C. The hall committee intend holding a plain and fancy-dress ball at an early date.
