On being informed of the matter, Constable Lander went to the hall and spoke to Edwards, but was compelled to use foi'ce to get him away. Accused was taken into custody. When arrested he had the sum of £4 10s in his possession. For being drunk accused was convicted and fined ss, and on the charge of assault he was fined £l and costs £1 is.
