ENTERTAINMENTS.

PREMIER PICTURES. On Tuesday evening a fair attendance was present at the local town hall, when a goT>d programme was shown, and which was well received. “ Chequered Wooing ” was the star drama, the acting and staging were very good. The scenics were most nteresting and instructive; as usual the comedy films provoked much merriment.

On Wednesday, the town hall, Kihikihi, was well filled, and a capital series of films shown to a very appreciative audience. The programme shown last evening at the local town hall was well up to the standard, and comprised a very good range of scenic, topical and educational, and comedy films, in addition to a well-selected series of dramas.

The programmes for Tuesday and Thursday next are advertised

IDEAL MOVING PICTURES. . The above picture company is advertised to show at Pirongia tomorrow night, at Kihikihi on Monday and Tuesday, and at Pirongia again on Wednesday. This company, which is well and favourably known throughout the Kawhia district, comes with a very good recommendation for showing high class films. In addition to the usual picture programme the company will present Mr J. Mel ford, the well-known Australian elocutionist and singer
