KORAKONUI.

(Own Correspondent)

Welcome rain fell on Monday, and incalculable good will result therefrom.

The carpenters have just completed a very neat, up-to-date school of which we are justly proud. A concert and dance in connection with the opening of the school will be held on Wednesday, 25th inst, but the official opening by the Hon. James Allen, Minister for Education, and Mr Young, M.P., will not take place till April Ist. A blacksmith's shop is about to be erected opposite the new school, by Messrs Girven and Wood.
