PREMIER PICTURES.
There was a fair attendance at the Town Hall on Tuesday evening, when another good programme was shown. The star film was the drama ‘‘Brennan of the Moors,” a stirring tale of old Ireland one hundred years ago. “The Hand of Destiny” was another good drama of a startling and exciting nature, and was well screened. A capital educational picture was the “ Kelp Industry,” showing the method of treating it, and also the large number of useful articles which are made from it.
An interesting and varied programme was shown last evening, and there was a good attendance. The topical films included a number of New Zealand subjects of interest. “An Unwritten. Chapter ” was a drama that was highly appreciated. “ The Black Circle” abounds with a number of sensational incidents, showing, the doings of a gang of thieves. “ Leone and his Guardian,” “ Latest in Life Saving,” and “ End of the World ” were the comics, and were decidedly amusing.
During the evening it was announced that only one programme will be shown next week —on Tuesday evening. Owing to other attractions on Thursday evening there will be no pictures shown.
