MATAMATA STOCK SALE
We had a fair entry of all classes of stock at our monthly Matamata sale on Wednesday, 28th January. Owing to the Southdown works being blocked fat stock was rather lower. Fat cows and heifers made from £5 los to £7 13s, store cows £3 5s to £4 17s 6d, yearling steers £2 to £2 Ss, calves 25s to 345, fat ewes 13s iOci to 15s 6d, store wethers 16s id, store lambs 8s to 9s, porkers 28s to 345, weaners 13s to 17s. TE AROHA STOCK SALE. We had a large entry, of all classes of stock at our monthly sale at Te Aroha on Friday, 30th January. Fat ewes made 16s 4d, fat cows and heifers £4 15s to £5 17s 6d, yearling to 18-month ■ steers £2 14s to £3 ss, heifers £3 I2s 6d, 3-year steers £6. 15s, calves 22s to 395, weaners 9s, sow £2 4s.
